Neat Oil Extrusion. Heavy Duty Cold Forming Lubricant
Description
RENOFORM EXT 6637 is a clear heavy duty, non-chlorinated, extreme pressure (EP) extrusion lubricant intended for difficult cold forming operations on cold headers and cold parts formers. It is especially effective for operations that generate excessive heat. If properly maintained, this oil tends to remain clear.
RENOFORM EXT 6637 provides excellent lubrication over a wide temperature range to lower heat generation and reduce or eliminate smoke. It also resists oxidation or varnishing of the lubricant, and any residual film remains oily so parts are easy to clean with alkaline cleaners. RENOFORM EXT 6637 is inhibited to avoid corrosion of copper and copper alloys. This ensures safety for dual side lubrication where equipment and the product’s viscosity permit.
Application
RENOFORM EXT 6637 is typically used as received without dilution. It is flowed or flooded directly onto the dies and punches on large headers or parts formers. It can be applied directly to the wire or rod on small headers. For dual side application, consult with your FLC representative.
RENOFORM EXT 6637 is readily cleaned from work-pieces with mild to moderately alkaline cleaner solutions. Best results are usually obtained with heated solutions.
