David Bogie with co-driver Kevin Rae showed driving maturity with a controlled and fuss-free drive to win the Malcolm Wilson Rally, part of the BTRDA Gravel Rally Championship.

On Sunday, the Bellerby sisters took the opportunity for an early season-opener by entering the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross championship event at Blyton Park Rallycross circuit. Paige Bellerby showed her class from the start, with a series of powerful, controlled drives during the day which culminated in victory in the final race. Sister Drew also took her first class award on her debut in the new car.

FUCHS sponsored action got underway for 2017 with the Snowman Rally proving to be a happy hunting ground for CA1 Sport's David Bogie where alongside co-driver Kevin-Rae, David claimed victory by 58 seconds. Also news from more rallying at the North Yorkshire Forests and some rallycross action at Blyton.

The 2017 Fuchs Lubricants R.A.C. Historic Asphalt Rally Championship will start this weekend (4/5 March) on the Bovington Stages with an excellent field of 15 cars on the entry list. The high-quality historic entry will gather in Dorset for the event that covers 80 stage miles over six stages each day. The fast and open special stages will provide the ideal starting point for the championship season.

18 Year old Rallycross driver Drew Bellerby has had a last minute change of plans before the 2017 season starts at Croft circuit on March 19th. She has been offered the opportunity of a fully supported drive in the MSA BMW Mini Championship in a new build BMW Mini Cooper S.

Sampling oil correctly and regularly can help highlight potential problems in commercial vehicles before they become serious, said a technical expert from a leading lubricant manufacturer.

Andy Brown, of FUCHS LUBRICANTS, said sampling can help reduce costs by unearthing issues with a vehicle before it breaks down completely, therefore minimising downtime. But Andy warned that oil samples must be taken correctly in order to produce the most accurate results.

Just a couple of weeks after he clinched the 2016 MCE British Superbike Championship title at Brands Hatch, Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne has signed a two-year deal to continue with Paul Bird Motorsport and Be Wiser Ducati. From Minster on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, Byrne claimed his and the Cumbrian team’s fifth BSB title last month following an epic season long battle on the Ducati Corse-backed Be Wiser Ducati Panigale R whereby he won nine races. Having been with the team for five consecutive years since 2012, during which time he has won three British Superbike Championship titles and finished runner-up twice, Byrne has committed his short-term future to the Penrith-based squad and will see him contest both the 2017 and 2018 British Superbike Championship seasons with long-term friend and team boss Paul Bird.
