The sun was shining and the terraces were full for the final meeting ever to be held at Wimbledon Stadium before it get demolished later in the year. 24 National Hot Rods were in attendance for World Qualifying Round 9 where Gavin started 22nd for both heats one and two.

Donington Park Podium For Irwin As Byrne Is Sidelined
It was a day of mixed fortunes for the Be Wiser Ducati Team at the opening round of the 2017 MCE British Superbike Championship at Donington Park today which saw Shane Byrne’s title defence get off to the worst possible start when he was declared unfit to ride following a crash during the morning warm up. Team-mate Glen Irwin helped keep spirits high with an excellent third place in race two.

It started with a run at the front, but it ended with a Did Not Finish in what was a frustrating and disappointing 12H Mugello for Optimum Motorsport in the Creventic 24H Endurance Series.
