NEW: SILKOLENE PRO 4 Ø 5W-40
FUCHS Silkolene is proud to be the first lubricants manufacturer to launch a plant-based engine oil with a zero carbon footprint to the mass motorcycle market.
Introducing: FUCHS SILKOLENE PRO 4 Ø 5W-40 (Pronounced Zero)
- Very high-quality, plant-derived, 100% renewable, synthetic base oils
- Excellent PRO level performance
- Outstanding wear & pitting protection
- Outstanding clutch performance & power transmission
- Lower your carbon footprint
As an extension to FUCHS Silkolene’s fully synthetic PRO range of engine oils, this new sustainable oil offers users the same levels of extreme performance as the rest of the range – with no compromises!
As the world rides towards more desirable levels of sustainability, it has been a passion of FUCHS Silkolene to ensure that it is playing its part. Over the years, their small-pack range has swapped from traditional plastic bottles to eco-friendly cardboard Lube Cubes and 1L pouches, alongside large group investments into its UK production facility to increase total manufacturing efficiency. The next natural step was to develop more sustainable products.
Utilising the FUCHS Group’s Advanced Circular Technology (ACT), PRO 4 Ø uses new renewable base oils, not recycled oils, for a more eco-friendly formulation. It is also classified as non-hazardous to further reduce its environmental impact plus benefits from state-of-the-art UK manufacture and distribution, ensuring that every aspect of this product has been carefully studied with sustainability in mind, from start to finish.
A key MUST was to ensure that FUCHS Silkolene riders did not compromise their ride in pursuit of the sustainability movement, which is why there has not been a product of this kind on the market prior to this. In-house chemists have worked hard to maintain PRO levels of performance, with API SP/SQ, JASO MA2 specifications to provide riders with the same quality assurance that using the Silkolene brand has always given.
Distinctive with its green colouring, PRO 4 Ø is a true trendsetter and may just start a wider movement of sustainability within the UK motorcycle lubricants market.
Joost van Genderen, FUCHS’s Global Head of its Motorcycle Division, comments,
“FUCHS’s highly certified Stoke-on-Trent production facility has utilised large investments over the past decade to improve production speeds, warehousing capabilities, site safety and overall energy efficiency. From our 2,000+ solar panels, to our state-of-the-art machinery, FUCHS Silkolene continues to upgrade every aspect to reduce our operational and product carbon footprints. A sustainable product was the obvious next move!.. And we are very proud to lead the movement.”
